„Jesus  Christ,  the  same,  yesterday,  today  and  for ever.“

(Heb 13:8)

“Contending for the faith once delivered and restored
to the saints”
(Jude 3)

Circular letter December 1987

Dear Brethren in Christ,

Special greetings to all of you around the world in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus.

As we are about to embark into the year 1988, I wish to give you a little information concerning the work the Lord has entrusted us with. Most certainly not one of the old-timers would have dared to expect the many years to pass on after the going home of our dearly beloved Brother Branham, God's servant and prophet.

Those who are acquainted with my writings know I stated that 1977 would come and go. Furthermore I wrote at the end of 1985 that I would not be surprised to see the year 1988. From know on we can expect anything to happen at any time. As there is no more room for speculations and calculations, it wouldn't surprise me, if the Lord started doing great things now. The outstanding events, whether they pertain to the church, the Bride, Israel, the nations or the world conditions in general, they all will happen in a chain reaction. As members of the Body of Christ, we are under great expectation to have part in the final fulfilment of the things God promised to us.

It is of great importance for us to realize at this time that the New Testament period will end as it began: with the actual fulfilment of Bible prophecy. John was a promised prophet, Jesus, our Lord, the promised Messiah and Saviour. The true believers at all times believed God's promised Word and expected its fulfilment. We are the children of the promise (Gal. 4:28) and have received the Word of promise, which is brought to life by the Spirit of promise.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise” (II Pet. 3:9), “for He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness, because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth” (Rom. 9:28). How wonderful to know that the Lord Himself will complete His work of redemption and rest on the 7th day, during the millennial reign, as He completed His work of creation and rested on the 7th day! This will be an experienced reality with all the elect from all ages, as they shall be transformed into His glorious image (I Jn. 3:2).

God has sent a promised prophet in this generation at the end of the day of grace, before the great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. Through that unique ministry we were brought face to face with the promised Word for today. Now we are carriers of that Seed-Word, believing that God will send the power of His Spirit to accomplish His work and take us into glory. Of course, before that great event takes place, we must experience the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21).
